INDIA VS WEST INDIES ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP ODI TOURNAMENT 20 MARCH 2011 will be held at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai, India
Known for its distinct pitch characteristics, with that extra zip and bounce off the wicket, the MA Chidambaram Stadium, formerly known as Chepauk, has been hosting internationals since 1934. Home to Madras Cricket Club, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and the Chennai Super Kings, the MA Chidambaram Stadium has been witness to some historic moments; Dean Jones’ heroic 210 in trying conditions, the tied Test in 1986, Saeed Anwar’s 194 in a ODI, Virender Sehwag’s innings of 319 against South Africa to become the third individual in Test history to score two triple hundreds, just to name a few. It was also at the Chepauk that Narendra Hirwani took 16 wickets on Test debut, against the West Indies in 1984, a feat yet to be bettered.
